New Media Programming with Max/MSP Jitter

An in-depth course for beginners covering all areas of Max/MSP and leading up to an informal presentation of participants' projects in the purpose-built Birmingham Conservatoire Recital Hall. After covering the basics, participants will be encouraged to work on their own projects, where more specialised subjects will be explored. Although the course will be tailored to participants interests, areas that will be covered include MIDI, sampling, synthesis, analysis and basic video techniques with Jitter.

They will explore how movement intersects with sound, in its composition or performance, or in collaboration or interaction with artists, technologies and mediums involved in movement.
