Max 5
Max is an interactive programming environment for music, audio, and media.
Max is a true cross-platform system compatible with both Mac OS X and Windows XP/Vista. Choose the version that is right for you and your system, and try it for 30 days. Please read the system requirements before downloading and the important installation notes.
Max/MSP/Jitter is now one installer. Even if you don't own all products, please download the single installer.
If you have Max 4.6 already installed on your computer, Max 5 will not conflict. They are separate applications.Choose the version you would like to download.
Current Mac Version
Click on the links below to begin downloading. Updated 1 October 2008 for Mac PPC and Intel machines running OS X 10.4 or later. The "Max 5" installer includes Max, MSP, and Jitter.
This is a paid upgrade for registered users of Max 4.6 (or older), but people who purchased Max after October 1, 2007 are eligible for a free upgrade.

System Requirements
Max 5 requires a Mac PPC or Intel machine running OS X 10.4 or later, and 1 GB RAM. Jitter requires QuickTime 7.1 (or later), an OpenGL-compatible graphics card, and OpenGL 1.4 (or later).
