I have this simple patch where I am just dropping a folder with some videos on a jit.gl.polymovie object.

Basically every time I do that, Max becomes unresponsive.

The folder contains videos in mp4 format and it is just 250 MB overall, my machine is an M1 Max with 64 GB of ram.

I am not sure why this is happening, any help?

I really hope that someone has had the same problem in the past and might still remember how to solve this.  

I still use Windows XP for some art projects for artistic and practical reasons.  

I properly authorized Max 5 with the challenge response cycling 74 sent me. I am an experienced Max 5 user and instructor, I use it since 2008. I have installed Max 5 during the past 16 years on several laptops and it has always worked, but not this time.  

So it seems to me this is an MSP authorization issue! But what's the solution?

Hey guys. Complete beginner here. I was wondering if it possible to incorporate a selection knob into the stock Ableton multimapper that toggles each mapper on and off in series, such that only one is selected to be active by the knob at a time? The goal is to have each mapper premapped to a target in a project and to cycle through mapping targets with a macro knob so only one of my choice is modulated at a time.

I figured I'd use toggles and connect them to a knob somehow, I'm assuming there are if/then objects I can use for this? I'd have the knob have a range of 1-8 for example and use an "if knob = x" then "toggle on and the rest off" kind of logic. But being a complete beginner I have no idea if this is how it would be done nor do I know where to connect the toggles in this salad of routings

Fire a message from any ways (computer, py on the rasp itself etc) and the Runner will fire any messages setup using a inport object in the source patch to that listener.

creating a bpatcher and setting the "open in presentation" attribute, then closing the bpatcher window without saving causes a crash.

Saving the patch before closing the bpatcher window prevents Max from crashing.

Can anybody reproduce this behaviour or has it reported already to cycling?
