I'm trying to remap Keyswitches in an instrument plug-in, so that I can use the same mapping on my controller that I'm already using for other libraries. I'm most of the way there, but have a persistent problem that I can't sort out...

it were as simple as just transposing the notes but it's more complicated than that because the articulations aren't using the same sequence in this library (Sample Modeling Strings) as in others that I use. 

In the example below I've limited note selection using midiselect, to note values 0 thru 19. This correlates to C-2 through G-1 as output by the pads on my controller. Then I am remapping the note numbers with a series of 'if' statements (I am showing only two of those in this snippet, but there are in fact 20 of them in total).

I pair that with a velocity value (plus some debugging messages) that do work; I had found that if I used a velocity value below 90 the keyswitch doesn't latch (a product of the way it's implemented in Kontakt) so just added that to make sure it always reached the appropriate level.

There are a few other things going on to make sure the device passes along unselected data, but the issue stems from what you see below. It works. I can remap key to key and can then use the pads on my controller to change articulations without having to remap the controller (I'm often layering two libraries on top of each other, so this ability to know that whenever I hit a particular pad it will always pull up pizzicato, for example, is highly desirable). The problem is that I'm not passing note off values. So for any note within the selected range, it continues to be sent every time a new note within that range is received, effectively defeating the purpose of the device. 

Any thoughts on how I can fix this? One idea would be to make it an exclusive command (which I don't know how to do), another would be to use some sort of "while" command rather than "if" although I don't see that that's an option.
