I'm having a little trouble getting started with the SDK. 

The documentation talks about running a Ruby build script by using terminal to navigate into the examples folder.

I can find neither the examples folder, or the ruby build.rb file. 

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I believe the documentation within the SDK was not updated when everything switched to cmake sometime in the last few years.

Bonus question: should I be looking at the min-devkit? 

My development skills are incredibly rusty and I've done a little C++ with Juce, so would that be a better starting point, or is SDK 8.2.0 still the 'main' way in?

I recommend starting with the good ol’ C SDK, which (amongst other things) seems to be better documented.

been having trouble running the min-devkit on mac using the max patches(steps to repro: download/install min-devkit using package-manager, run the main patch to create or browse, all i get no matter what i do is errors similar to: "min.project: A problem occurred trying to create the new package" in the max console; running Max8.5.4 on MacOSVentura13.3.1), but i just found there's instructions on github to create from the terminal(?), maybe i'll try that instead

...would love if someone would revisit min-devkit, and create more tutorials on it(Federico Foderaro has a really great one, unfortunately, the steps don't work for me on Mac right now...), it's been rough to get into. Thanks to anyone considering this.
