I've been trying to use cycle~ as a semi-irregular arpeggiator using 12 predetermined values set between 0 and 1 where certain values are longer than others (hence the need for the irregularity), so as the output of cycle~ fluctuates between 1 and 0 another 'object' will bang when each of those values is matched. Though, my current efforts have caused me nothing but trouble since I realised that using objects like 'selector' or 'route' don't detect the pre-set values and then when switching to ">=~" which does sort of work the timing is messed up or doesn't bang at all. The only quick-fix solution I've found so far is to use a series of chained line~ objects that triggers the next object when each line~ reaches their destination, but this isn't ideal. So, if I've explained that correctly I've between trying to use cycle~ as a means of keeping the stepping synchronised as the speed of cycle~ needs to be able to be changed during use. Am I missing something simple here?
