Does anyone have a working 'kfilter' external for an Intel Mac OSX? I tried downloading the object from David Rokeby's website but it doesn't seem to work. Would be great to get as it's necessary for using the GrainTools patches.
Thanks.

I tried that but it still didn't work. The file I downloaded from his website wasn't an .mxo file either. It was just a plain document so I wasn't sure what to do with that. Does anyone have this object working on an Intel mac?
Here's the link to his website: http://tinyurl.com/6az2va (it's in the 'other max objects' folder)
You can make your own with a [zl filter] object. Not that difficult.
Ok but what does the object do exactly? The description of it says 'kfilter forces ints to conform to the defined key'. What would this entail?
Thanks.
You can use the object to block (filter out) midi pitches from for example midi objects or the keyboard slider. It has/had a small user interface looking like a 1 octave keyboard. Sending a note trough the kfilter would block that note in all octaves. If I remember correctly it had also some kind of function that it would force a note surrounding the non-blocked keys to be played as if it was the pressed key. Does this make sense? I haven't used it in a long time. The author doesn't seem to update the object.
