20mMidiSampler patch – questions

December 26, 2010 | 6:12 pm

I’m using this example patch and two questions confront me: What is making the clicking rhythm if you do not press the message object to trigger the other midi sounds (as this clicking is awesome and I would like to know how to control/program it into more interesting rhythms. And 2, how could i set the temp of this ryhthm?

I have searched the help files for the objects but am having trouble figuring out how to create this sound elsewhere and how to control the rhythms.
Apologies and thanks as usual.

Thanks Brendan that was just what I was looking for. Do you know anything about how I could use the midi lo-fi clicking sounds (that I still have no idea how to produce or affect??) that are in my original posted patch before you press the midi message box to trigger the voices. If you simply press start and audio on, turn the sound up and they are there. I would love to be able to figure out what they are… are they samples? or are the generated from the seq object…. I can’t figure it out.

I don’t think they are midi sounds. haven’t looked to much at the patch, but seems to me that they are short (very short) loops from your samples since the groove~ object hasn’t been initialized with that message box you keep mentioning yet…

Right, how weird! Has anyone else out there had an experience of this??

look at the various [buffer~] objects in the patch I posted; as MIB states, these are the percussion loop samples, not midi sounds.
