24bit sfrecord~ multichannel hang

Hi everybody,

Does [sfrecord~] officially support also more than 16 channels? The help file says “Soundfiles with 9-16 channels are now supported”, but I suppose it should, since the object is properly instantiated (otherwise I’d expect at least a warning in the Max window…)

If it does support them, I have a [sfrecord~ 20 403200] often hanging (1 times out of 3 or 4) when it is turned *OFF*. The weird thing is that it seems to happen only when I choose “samptype int24″: I’ve done it more than a few times with default 16-bit and no hangs at all.

It should not be a matter of amount of memory: my recordings are extremely shorts (4 or 5 seconds tops). Thus it might not be related to other issue I’ve come across while searching in the forums…

During the hang the scheduler and the audio thread both seem to work fine (…more or less: I can hear my score still playing, yet I have the horrible rainbow wheel… :-).

Does anyone have a clue?

Thanks,
Daniele

Little update: it has just happened with 16bit as well.
Am I the only one having this issue?
