37 Shatter Andrew or Rob

February 19, 2014 | 1:58 am

hello dera List,
So my purpose is to use the excellent Shatter patch from Andrew Benson in jitte recipes book3 and to make it on jit.gl.text2D or 3D.

So my first test was to give a name @ the jit.gl.text3D texture and to try to get it back in the shatter pacth a second try was to try to use share_context trick but i had no success.
I may have done something wrong so if you could help me to make things running it would be fine…
I joined the shatter patch with a jit.gl.text3D in it

Thank you
cheers
Hubert

Hello dear List,
So i found a way to reach my purpose but well let’s say this a patching style and not a coder style
So i used jit.desktop to shoot jit.gl.text3D and send it to jit.gl.texture.
Well it works but it’s heavily cpu loaded!!
So if there is anybody across the atlantic ocean who’s not able to sleep…
or anyone here abroad the european continent who has this kind of, you know, lovely and tiny patching secret, i would enjoy to slow down my cpu calculation and bring these calculation to my powerful GPU.
Cheers
Hubert

simply capture the gl.tex3d with a gl.node, and use the gl.node texture output as the input texture for the shatter effect.
