when spigot~ runs for the *first time* on a file it extracts a aif stream to a cache folder (or to the source folder via [;jitter spigot_cache 0]

also it will egnerate a master xml for all spigots and another xml for each one.

now, when it first run the video stutters a bit

could i use the spigot output to detect when ts finished?

will it stay in the cache location for good?

will it detect a comaptible spigot generated aif and use it if its around the media file?

whats the purpose of the xmls? does it gets generated at the end of the demuxing process?

btw. i now use dekam method of sending [time $1] to jit.qt via a sfplay~. works v good. but needs demuxing of the audio track. which is what spigot does behind the scene.

spigot starts automatically when the audio stream has finished,

better why is to wait for the socexport message of jit.qt.movie dumpout.

note. if filename.mov.aif already exists but the filename.mov.xml is missing, it will regenerate the aif file.
