A slider that jumps to a specific position when I release the mouse button

Hello everyone.
How can I create a slider that jumps to a specific position when I release the mouse button. Just as a pitchwheel of a synthesizer. Does anyone have any idea how this can work?

Thank you
Peter

Mousefilter passes through a value when releasing the mouse. This could trigger setting the slider to a specific value.

Mousefilter is a better solution, but here’s one that predates mousefilter:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

Here’s a couple versions using mousfilter

1) jumps to specified value immediately:

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –

2) ramps to specified value over short time (similar to a physical control with weight/inertia):

– Pasted Max Patch, click to expand. –
