A "Zoom" issue….looking for some help

May 20, 2010 | 8:02 pm

Hi there,

I’m using MaxMSP 5 and I can’t seem to get the standard Control+Mouse Wheel ‘zoom’ feature working – is this not supported in Max? Or is there a setting I am missing?

I find myself having no choice but to stop using the mouse, and hit Control and (+) to zoom every time I need to….I could have sworn that Max allowed the mouse wheel zoom – but I may be wrong.

Can someone tell me please how I can make use of the Cntrl+Wheel zoom in Max5? :) Thanks!

Ben

There’s a zoom message to [thispatcher], forgot the exact words, maybe "zoomfactor 1." ? (for standard zoom level).

So you could hack up a little floating window with a dial or slider to control it. Though it’s not as convenient as the scroll wheel for sure… then again, you can set up keystrokes to change the zoom factor too, so that’s something.

maybe you could hook this up to the scrollwheel via [hid]…

Thanks for the answers! :) So, you are confirming there is no native/built-in mouse wheel zoom/scroll feature in MaxMSP (+Crtl)

I’ll see what I can come up with,

Ben
