I'd given up on the idea of writing a MIDI processing plugin but decided to give it one last shot thanks to another post on here..

I put it on a midi channel, routed to another in the input settings and managed to do a simple transpose thing, but the timing is all over the place. it's really frustrating! even just reducing it to this:

hopefully someone can tell me I'm going wrong somewhere...I remember reading on another forum that I should put a [pipe 0] before my plugmidiout but that hasn't done anything

I'm on a 1.5ghz powerbook 10.3.9 and just installed the latest updates for ableton 6, max and pluggos.

just tried your patch, and it seems to work fine here.

i customised it slightly so that you could actually transpose, altho there seems to be a problem with triggering the note off properly - but that's most likely my quick and dirty patching!

only thing is, i have slightly different setup:

OSX 10.4.8 / Live 6.01 / latest pluggo and max

let me know how you get on cos i want to get back into some pluggo MIDI.

BTW, with reference to the screenshot, the plugin is called miditest2.vst and is sending its data to an automat vsti (set to monophonic)

only thing is, i have slightly different setup:
