I am working on a plugin that transmits audio data over the network. My first target host is Protools, but eventually would like to target other hosts as well.

I am looking for assistance on two issues.

1. I would like to eliminate or disable the "bypass" button. If this cannot be done, I would like to know when it is enabled and disabled. Is any of this possible?

2. I would like access to the host name for the track in which an instance of my plugin is loaded. This would enable me to publish the track on the network using the same name used by Protools. Is there any way to access this information?
