Speed depends on what exactly you're doing. I would recommend doing some tests if performance really matters and not worrying about it if it doesn't.

Hi, I am trying to build a mesh from kinect depth map (jit.freenect.grab).

I want to exclude all vertices that are not inside a specified range.

I was thinking of using the depth map and jit.gl.lua gl bindings to build a mesh out of triangles.

Since the number of vertices is unknown, I need to build the mesh dynamically.

Is there an easier way that would also allow the application of a video texture to the resulting mesh?
