Accumulate value at the sample rate?

April 8, 2009 | 7:56 pm

I am new to max and am currently trying to produce a clock which counts up to a certain value, and the value it counts up by each time is a varying number which I have already managed to program the code for.

Could anybody help me to produce a counter which counts at the sample rate?

Also I was wondering if there was a way of sending bangs at the sample rate

Thanks, ben

count~ doesn’t do what you need? Doesn’t sound like it, but there may be a way.
Absolutely no way to create bangs at the sample rate – it has to do with the vectors you see when you look at the DSP Status window. You would have to be able to dial up an I/O Vector of 1, which I don’t think would be possible on any hardware.
I have a feeling that whatever you are trying to achieve may have to stay in the signal world rather than trying to get it out to the control world, or maybe it can be done with Jitter matrices.
