Does anyone here have experience of using the ad_nonreal driver? I did a test patch to record one cycle of a 1hz sine wave, with the aim of eventually using this technique to quickly "bounce" a 50 minute piece with ~30 individual panned mono-Bformat tracks to a 16 channel 3rd-order BFormat audio file - but it turns out ad_nonreal is slower than realtime... I thought it might be faster :-(

I've gotten the ad_nonreal driver to render faster than real time, but it depends upon what's going on in the patch. If the processing is complex enough, the driver will need longer than real time.

Getting rid of file access should speed it up (using buffers), but with files that large it would require processing in chunks, then joining them - probably a pain to set up.
