add a number to selected members of a list

Hi,

Why is it so difficult to add a number to only selected members of a list?

it is slightly easier when you use the additional feature of zl nth

hi kaspar,

in order to be more flexible i would do it this way, but i agree with you we should be able to do it more easily :

I’m surprised that the Lobjects haven’t been mentioned. Whenever there’s something that zl doesn’t handle, the chances are that there’s something in the Lobjects that will.

[listfunnel] can help too, then you can use [sel] in a cascade manner to choose different elements on the fly. [zl group] to gather it all back together:

Hi again,

Thanks for posting patches that show different ways of doing things. Useful for me, so that I can learn a bit more about dataflow in max.

However: The list.xxx objects are a bunch of mxj objects that help to perform multiple kinds of list manipulations … I found them by looking through the max object database with the search word ‘list’.

These may make my life simpler – or they are at least yet other ways of doing things :-)
