November 29, 2013 | 9:14 am

hi,
here You have max patch for Advaya by Harvey. How can I add midi (pedal) volume control of the SPX effects used there?
thanks for support!

Is this Dudas patch in the public domain?

First note that there are 2 different effects in the SPX: harmonizer and reverb. You may want to control them seperately (I don’t remember if they’re used at the same time).
As the spx volume seems to be already controlled with cues and the spx_vol_db message (isn’t this enough?), you shoud add gain~ objects to the outputs of the effects in the p AUDIOo/p SPX patcher and connect them to a ctlin.

IF your idea is to ask the cellist to control the volume, I don’t think it’s a good idea as he obviously doesn’t sit at the right position to make a good mix.

Thanks for some suggestions!

I’ve received this patch from Ircam.

The cues for SPX are OK but inside some of the events there are moments of pure cello sound without SPX and in the last one in sinusoids all the time with the SPX level.
I will use just external volume pedal to control SPX level and the patch can stay untouched.

Thanks!

PS
how can I delete attached patch in the topic?
