airport stops mxj net.udp.send/recv

Hi all,

Am working on a project to wirelessly control one machine and peripherals from another. Using mxj net.udp.send/recv combo, everything is good when using a wired connection (both machines on same network, using ethernet). However, shutting down the machines, unplugging the ethernet cables, and restarting kills the communication between instances of Max on each machine. Other network services work (browser, Skype, etc), just no communication between Max. Plugging the ethernet cables back in fixes this immediately.

Any ideas? Many thanks in advance for help.

Best,
Alex

My guess is that it’s because you have different IP addresses on the
wireless network, and you’ll need to reconfigure your send and receive
objects.

Thanks Jakob. I have been resetting the IP addresses manually after each restart, so I don’t know if this is the issue, but will look further.
