Alesis io 26 external?

January 27, 2008 | 10:17 pm

i was curious if there has been any external patches that talk to the alesis io 26. i am planning on creating a patch for drum triggers/samplers with this firewire device as the interface. so in the end, i am just looking for a patch that talks to and reads signal coming in, the rest i can handle programming. thanks!

If it’s just a standard Firewire audio & MIDI interface – as it
appears to me from the Alesis website – the standard [dac~], [adc~],
and other MIDI & audio i/o MaxMSP objects should work fine. Why do
you need externals or other abstractions? Are there some special
features that the standard objects can’t access?
