This problem sounds simple but I've been dealing with it for some time now and after looking at past posts I still can't get it to work. I'm trying to play many small videos that overlay eachother in the same window so I need to eliminate the bg. I'm sending object "jit.gl.videoplane test @blend_enable 1" to "jit.gl.render test @ortho 2 @erase_color 0 0 0 1". This works for .png images but I'm desperately trying to figure out how to get it to recognize the alpha channel for a qt movie. I attached a simple patch of what I am talking about.

If you look at the videos coming out of the jit.qt.movie objects, do

when i load 4 movies with alpha channels into your patch, they blend exactly as i would expect (quite nicely, actually).

make sure you're using a qt codec that saves an alpha channel (like animation formated with Millions+ colors).

The background is all white, I'm exporting my movies from flash as qt movies w/ animation and 32bitcolor w/ alpha, is it possible its not working because I'm on a computer that does not have the full version of qt by any chance?

If there's an alpha channel in your files and it's coming out of

jit.qt.movie, your patch will work. You'll need to verify both
