This summer school is aimed at beginners as well as casual users of MaxMSP who want to work with sound and image in a creative way. The course will enable the participant to expand their creative work by developing their own custom built innovative software for live performances, installations and productions. The course is suitable for performers, sound artists, composers, visual artists, teachers and students, and does not require any particular musical, visual or general artistic background. It is generally helpful though for participants to have had some prior experience in using computer technology for artistic creation, but no prior experience of using MaxMSP is needed.

The main course takes place over four days from 2nd-5th September, but for those with no MaxMSP experience, there is an additional free introductory day on 1st September.
