Another way to define a changeable argument ??

hi,
do somebody know another way to define a changeable argument other than add argument to the patch name ??
In fact i try to define default values for changeable argument in the case of there is no argument specified in the patch name.

thanks and sorry for bad english

Take a look at [patcherargs]. With it you can easily break out your
arguments and provide defaults for optional arguments.

Thanks Steven,
I was already explore the [patchargs] possibilities and it’s true that by this way you can extract arguments from a patch and define default argument if needed …
But you have to do it “manually”. I mean with patchcord to transmit default argument from [patchrargs] to [Objects to be initialized]

What I’m wondering is if there is a way to directly define changeable argument(#1, #2, #3 …) inside the patch and patchcordless ???

Yeah, but you just get a zero as default… But don’t be afraid, of
patchchords, they work fine… ;-)
If you like you can have a look at my old St.Loadif abstractions,
personally I almost stopped using them, patcherargs is much nicer in
most cases…
