I'm trying to automate the changing of the input/output devices for Live (as set in the Preferences). Can't seem to figure out a way, besides controlling the mouse with Max to do a series of clicks. Thanks.

Im pretty sure you can't change interface with m4l at runtime. I would look at amalgamating your interfaces into 1, then change channel inputs. Alternatively use scripting to prepare pre made prep files.
