arithmetic operators for making a linear curve

October 4, 2007 | 5:37 pm

Helu

Im making a patch with 12 partials where im delaying each partial for making a strumming effect (arpeggiator).
I want one parameter (number box) to control pipe or delay milliseconds on all partials (cycles~) and need a formula for creating a linear curve, so the relationships between cycles~ maintain.

Does this make sense?

Also, is pipe or delay most suitable for this kind of tasks?

Thank you very much

umm the parameter controlling delay time will be a linear slope?

i dont know what a "linear curve" is, but i think you can do what you want using individual *s and pipe.

Thanks!

Why use pipe instead of delay?

[pipe] will delay any message, where as [delay] is only for bangs
