ASIO problem in Windows 7 (strange I/O Vector Size)

Hi,

I tried to run a patch of mine on a friend’s laptop, but I’m having a weird problem with the ASIO drivers.
There’s only one I/O Vector Size to choose: 144.
Audio gets distorted after some time. Sometimes the Audio Input works, sometimes it doesn’t…

OS is Windows 7 64bit Home Edition.
Tried with a Focusrite Scarlett 18i6 and a Tascam US-122.
Max5 and Max6 Demo.

Cubase seems to run fine with the same setup…

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Jan

Hi

did you run the soundcards’ Control Panel software? AFAIK the Scarlett’s is called Control Mix or suchlike; don’t know about the Tascam. From there, you can alter the IO buffer size – at least that’s how I do it here for my own Saffire (Win 7).
