Assigning specific MFL controls to host (like broadcasting vst parameters)

APC40 Device Controls at this point are grabbing random parameters. If I make a blank patch with one knob, the first knob on the Device Control Section will map to that knob automatically. Is there a way to assign parameters explicitly? As in the ADSR of a device to the first 4 broadcasted parameters... this would map to the first 4 knobs of the APC40.

Not that I'm aware of .This is an issue we are investigating with Ableton.

Three and half years later - was this issue ever resolved? Because it's a pretty serious problem.

To give a specific example: I'm trying to use the Device Control knobs on an APC40 to control the MonoSequencer object that comes with Live 9's M4L. The first knob controls the root note when choosing a scale to conform pitches to, the second knob controls the popup menu that determines what function incoming MIDI has, the third knob turns MIDI Thru on and off, the fourth knob choose what mode of scale to conform to, and so forth. These are arbitrary and nearly useless assignments, but there is no obvious way to change them.

In the modern world, you can use the "automapping index" parameter attribute.

Thanks.

That term, incidentally, appears nowhere in the Max Help documentation, which Cycling74 might want to take note of.
