Nvidia Quadro FX 4500 x2?

of it, it gives you 4 DVI outputs and has 2 beastly GPUs.  I haven't
used one myself but the specs are promising.  If anyone has used on of
these, I'd love to hear any comments.

the next computer my wife and i buy will be the next macpro with, 

most likely, that horrid card in it. she needs it for autocad 2007, 

and it's one of the approved and recommended cards. i will be using 

it as a high-end jitter and HD editing machine, and will be glad to 

test patches with it when it comes. give me 3 weeks after the next

the next computer my wife and i buy will be the next macpro with,  
most likely, that horrid card in it.  she needs it for autocad 2007,  
and it's one of the approved and recommended cards.  i will be using

Very interresting card but I think a little bit too expensive for me.

those somebody (Dekam probably), knows if the DFG will work with dx.grab for

I just have another idea, split the system into 2 computer. The G5 I

I enter in this setup live video for tracking but it interrups (fps down) the others process.

I can send effects as much that I want with no problem. 

I have bought 2 matrox dual head2go for the first card, so I have a window @dim 2048 1536 for 4 videoprojectors.

Problems are only when I play QT files, because if I want maximum quality (2048x1536), the macpro don't like it (fps fall down).I have to use lower resolution.

My first wish was to grab with alchemy cards on a G5(cause I had already this) and send it in 640x480 with jit.net.send to the macpro, but it's not possible to stream 2 camera like that, so I use a DFG, and I have to buy another one to use 2 camera at the same time. (I hope it's possible to use 2 DFG at same time)

A new object like jit.net.send, but more powerfull could be a great innovation for jitter 2.0 ;-)

If you hav experience or advice for optimize QT movies in a 2048x1536 window which is not in fullscreenmode, u're welcome...

make sure the card you are using with the matrix head2go's is the 

lower most slot - (this has the widest PCIe bandwidth)

make sure that you are not 'spanning' across cards - in other words 

the matrix boxes should only be attached to this lower most card.

if this is already your setup, then it would most likely be related 

to the movie you are playing - your source movie's datarate is too 

large for the disk you are trying to play from (which is also related

Did you try to connect each dualhead on each card? (instead of 2 on the first card.

in my configuration, each videocard as 1 render + 1 process (max/msp duplicate) as I explained in a former post.

To separate 2 process and 2 render context on 2 cards give me a significant better frame rate, than... trying to get everything in the same max appli and on 1 card. (15 fps > 30 fps!!!)

I also duplicate the movie database for each process..
