is there update of Max 5, where is possible to export Max patch as AU or VST plug-in, please? I know, it is possible to do this in older version of Max, but I'm not sure, how is it in Max 5.

Although it would be very nice to have that functionality back.

Lately I'm using cubase more and more for surround mixing. And I really mis the pluggo library. Was sort of my secret weapon back in the days of pluggo goodness.

Shame live isn't equipped for surround mixing.

You could use "Soundflower" or "Jack" from Max5 to your AU host.

you can install maxmsp vesion 4.6 and build your pluggos there.

you should also program your pluggo patches in 4.6 so that you dont

run in the trap and use v5 only externals (or know by heart whats 4 and whats 5 stuff)

and don't forget the free and fantastic SonicBirth which is Max like and does Audiounits and VST!
