One is the Creative Live! 24-bit SoundBlaster; the other is the Alesis 8 USB mixer / soundcard. I have updated drivers for both and they work fine in other applications.

No matter which audio driver I choose in Max there’s a problem. ad ASIO – error loading driver, Error -1 loading driver ASIO Sound Blaster USB Audio;

ad_mme: Stopping due to error.
ad_directsound: Stopping due to error.

(ad_rewire: I’m not using rewire)

Any thoughts? Both devices work fine outside of Max.
