I have spent much time over the past two years building a multifunctional granular synth powered by [metro] and [line~] objects, but it was VERY CPU intensive and the grain scheduling was not accurate. Recently I attempted to make the entire engine run at audio rate, taking a little from Sakonda's Sugar Synth, but making the grain interval and length independent of each other which was how my old patch operated. I've attempted this with a master [phasor~] sweeping through all (32) grains at the speed of their interval and several [rate~] objects, scaled to the grain length, which are used at different times depending on the [poly~] instance. So far, the controls don't function how they should, and seem to affect each other in strange ways. After much experimentation and frustration I thought I would come back to this forum and ask for some guidance.

And so here I've posted the contents of the [poly~] patch I'm using. There are 32 instances and the [buffer~] is of course outside of the patch. Your help would be much appreciated! (my degree is on the line here!)
