audio sig into max and out into Live

was just wondering if anyone knows of a way of having audio signal go into MAX and be passed out into another program such as Live or Cubase.

i know you can use the rewire engine to get audio out of MAX but the problem here is that the rewire engine does not support audio input!!!!

is there maby an alternite signal rute (object?) into MAX while runnig in rewire or maby there is an object to get signal out of max without having to run in rewire???

Search this forum for “aggregate device”, if you’re on a mac. Use it together with soundflower.

Jack for Windows is in its infancy, but it is available:

Jackdmp appears as audio device in your program, ASIO if I remember
corectly. You don’t need special object to use it in max.
Also, you don’t need to know c++ to use jackdmp, because you have
compiled version(in bin/windows folder).

Here’s where you can find jackdmp:

http://www.grame.fr/~letz/jackdmp.html

There’s also a link to Qjackctl compiled for windows, if you don’t
want to mess to much with command line.

Have you tried compiling pluggos yet? For me that’s by far the best option.
(and somehow I’m surprised that noone suggested it yet? – maybe I
misunderstood your question…)

I don’t think he know’s what compiling pluggo’s means. That’s why I directed him to the manuals.
