Audio Units in [vst~] is making me feel stupid.

I’ll post an example patch, though I’m not sure it’ll help much – since it’s essentially the vst~ help file.

Basically, I can’t seem to get AU plugins to _do anything_. They’ll load in, I can see the interface, but no processing goes on. I’ve tried it with multiple plugins from multiple developers – VSTs work fine, AU’s (whether loaded as .component or .auinfo files) just won’t process anything. Most of them are semi-graceful about this, passing audio through without effecting it at all, though there was one (LiveCut) that wouldn’t even do that – no audio at all!

Any thoughts? I have this big giant list of audio units just beckoning me to use them, and then teasing me with their interfaces and non-functional processing.

Tested on two systems, both Max 6.0.8 and Runtime (technically standalone) 6.0.8. Nobody else has this issue?
