Hi - I'd like to be able to select a group of send or receive objects and convert them to receive or send objects, respectively. I feel this would greatly speed up the time it takes to patch. Is this possible with something like js? How might I go about coding for osmething like this? Is there anything else that someone has produced that's similar? (I have Max Toolbox, which is somewhat the inspiration for this desire).

interesting stuff, got me to mess a bit more with js. The maxtoolbox.js file is also a good place to poke around and see how things are done.

Here's a snippet which lets you create 8 buttons and remove them, bang them all in Locked mode, and bang only the selected ones in Edit mode. With modifications you can tell your created objects (sends/receives or whatever) to do what you want, including connect/disconnect.

The difference between the .js method here versus using [thispatcher] for your scripting is that [thispatcher] doesn't have access to whether an object is currently selected in Edit mode. (If it does, please advise---that would be great to know!)

One thing which threw me: the variable name for the objects in the .js code is not the same as the Scripting Name in the patch. The buttons created don't have scripting names, though with js you can specify names as well. So, you need to access the objects using the js names: my_button[1] etc. below.
