Hey there, im looking to be able to automatically record an audio source as soon as it is above an audible range for an electronic performance project i will be taking on for next year. I am having a few troubles figuring out how to make it work, i will upload the file for the project below, and if anyone can give me any tips, i would be more than grateful. I think the problem has something to do with the constant triggering of the numbers from the adc, constantly triggering recording and not progressing past a few milliseconds.
Also, i was hoping that after it has recorded and when recording is triggered again, it would record after the first part. To do this i was using a counter object which i think was working fine, but i do not know how to make an automatic way to trigger this.
I am a huge fan of the forums, this is my first post but by no means the first look, i’ve gotten some very valuable information from you people, thank you.
looks like rec trigger method in your patch could work, but the [thresh~ ] is ideally suited for this. check the patch i posted to the thread below and setup a gate as described (to prevent re triggering during the recording). i think you will figure it out from there:
