No matter what i do, setting background color to white using the patcher inspector, or using a [bgcolor 256 256 256], it always disappear. When i reopen Live and relaunch my device, it goes grey again...

You mean it's a stupid feature, that's why no one answer ?

As you can change Live's color theme, max for live device are designed to adapt themself to these themes.

To overdrive the colors I use a [pattr] object hoocked to a [swatch] to recall.

BTW, you can ask via the live APi wich colors are used
