Basic Question- Sending Midi to Logic

I’ve been trawling around for a while now, but I haven’t been able to work out how to send data from a number of noteout objects to be recorded in some Logic 8 tracks. I would be very grateful if someone could point me in the the direction of an explanation.

Many thanks

That looks spot on, Adam. I’ll try it out tonight.

Thanks very much for your help.

Check out these videos for everything logic related. Find the one about the environment window. Set it up and the simply send midi from Max. Boooom.

Hope this helps.

Yeah! David Earl is awesome, those videos are highly recommended.

If you just want to quickly get started sending MIDI notes over to virtual instruments in Logic, there’s no need to mess with the Environment. The one channel per track system I described in my link works fine for a lot of purposes. The Environment can be a bit overwhelming at first. But it’s certainly worth while looking into it eventually! There’s lots of cool things you can do with it especially in conjunction with Max.
