This has already come up previously. Check out the following…

To asnwer your question, no. Your best bet is LiveCut which
is a VST version of a subset BBcut functions. Unfortunatly
becuase Cycling74 decided to not implement the full VST interface,
Livecut does not work in Max. At some point someone should
try to figure out how to port all of BBcut to Max.

or find a way to integrate VST Time Info in vst~ :)

If you want to integrate VST time info, load the plugin in like Live or Cubase and control it remotely!! ;) Sorry not the best solution.

In regards to that idea, with vst time info, wouldn’t it be possible to query whether Ad_rewire was active whenever a vst~ object was launched. If it was true, then, the same time info that comes out of hostsync~ would probably do the trick in some way shape or form. =///////

Yeah, possibly =/

The incarnation of SC on XP is pretty pitiful =X

i continue to think that a so powerful system as max msp is should try to integrate vst at its best…
…VST time info is so important for many plugins….
..yes you can build similar stuff inside max.msp…but why to re-invent the wheel?….
maybe a kind of vsthost~ object provideing VST Time info to every connected vst~?

It should follow the same style as other binding objects so that
flexibility is preserved. I’m certain that not everyone wants universal
VST time sync within Max/MSP, because I am one of those people. I would
welcome pattr-style binding for this hypothetical object though; I can
always use [universal] if I want to talk to them all.

I have to wonder whether something defined (or left undefined) in the
VST spec makes this whole thing much more difficult than we might hope.
(By "we" I mean those of us not fluent in either the VST spec or the
Max/MSP guts.)
