Hi everybody !!!! I need some guidance. I'm fairly new to jitter and I want to integrate 3d graphics in my work. What is the best free platform I can use with max/msp/jitter (and easiest one) to have quick and fast results. Can someone explain me the step to achieve that or suggest me sites or documentations that I should read... I'm a Vj using max for live and I think it will be very cool if the 3d images was following the beat of a song for example....
Thanx a lot Ben

Hi Ben,

Take a look at blender, its free and very powerful although a bit complex if you're new to 3d graphics, the best thing about it is all the people at blenderartists.org who are very willing to help people out starting out with blender.

Also google sketchup is great way to start in 3d, its very simple to use and i think you can export .obj's from the free version. these can be imported into jitter's [ jit.gl.model ]

So is there a way to connect blender and jitter for example....(or max/msp)??

Thanx Ben

any 3d modeling program that can export to obj format can be used with Jitter.
take a look at the jit.gl.model object.

if you would like to incorporate skeletal animation with your models, check out jit-ogre:
