Beta restriction?
hey...
(how) can i start the beta inside Live 8?
isnt it supposed to be inside of Lives Instruments and Audio Effect Folders?
or is the Beta just "standalone"?
Hi!
Assuming you installed max 5.1, and Live 8.1,
Open Live, and look at Instruments on the browser for
Max Instruments. O pen an instrument, and, when hitting the
edit button, Max Launches.
Hope this helps.
iam on 8.0.8 is that the reason why max wont show up in the instruments?
i thought 8.1. is beta? public?
thanks
You do need 8.1 and max 5.1 to run m4l.
Mind you both these versions are beta.
Don't forget you HAVE to be a licensed Live user to download 8.1 ...
I downloaded Live 8.1 and MaxMSP 5.1 installed both and restarted
When I launch Live, M4L is nowhere to be seen.
bin: Are you a registered Live user?
Or did you get hold of 8.1 elsewhere?
I am registered.
I have the same problem, as a registred live & max/jitter user. I cant find m4l (5.1.0b8) in live (8.0.9). i have booth downloaded and installed today... tested on mac (leopard) and pc (xp)
You need live 8.1 (downloadable from Ableton's web site, only for registered users).
8.0.9 won't work.
8.1 won't work for me...no m4l
it seems very unstable too. Has failed to initialize at least a dozen times today. Installed twice.
Is MFL authorised correctly in Live?
Is Max 5.1 starting correctly if you launch it normally?
What OS/version are you on?
-A
No its not authorised.
When I launch Live M4L does not appear in the Live devices.
When I go to preferences, only Live 8 ,Sampler and Operator are listed as authorized.
If I click on Authorize at Ableton.com, I get to a page which gives me a choice of authorizing Live 8 upgrade, with operator and Sampler, or a choice to authorise Ableton Demo (doesn't say what version)
if i choose to authorise the Ableton demo, Live tells me the demo is valid for 30 days, but there is still no M4L in the Live Devices, and no M4L in the authorised instruments.
yes , MAX 5.1 seems to launch most of the time
OS X 10.5.8
