I want to make a very simple patch that draws a movable white circle using jit.gl.sketch.

I've come up with the attached patch, but it seems to me that it creates an inordinately high CPU load. Is there a more efficient way of doing this?

In the future I may need more circles, so am not looking for a solution that just involves shifting the gl render context.

what about using java for creating the matrix data?

try jit.gl.gridshape instead of jit.gl.sketch. I compared the two and using gridshape is far faster and smoother, not sure why there would be such a difference.

When you have many circles I still don't think it'll be a problem:
