bgcolor update flocker

Dear folks,

Couldn’t find anything in the archives about this. I’m trying to build an installation patch that will change color to match the color of what a participant is wearing. Unfortunately I’m experiencing flicker no matter what I do. The attached patch flickers at the bang rate. I also get intermittent flicker just dragging over the swatch. I’m on a Mac Pro OSX10.4.9, MaxMSP 4.6.3. The problems is even worse on our G5.
Any ideas to get around this?

Thanks in advance,

Christopher
