I have looked various forums for this issue, but haven’t arrived at a conclusion. For some reason I cannot configure the Blackmagic Utility in System Preferences, and when I select the Blackmagic input in the device list for jit.qt.grab, the screen is black. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Before attempting anything else. If Black Magic utilities cannot see the PCI card, you’re clearly going to have issues elsewhere. Update your drivers and check firmware versions, etc.
