We’re trying to connect four Wii remotes to a laptop and finding that the bluetooth signal is variable.

Does anyone have any recommendations on a dongle that would help (makes, model, etc) ?

Make sure it as new as possible – v2.1 EDR. Not sure if newer stuff is out. Some have better antennae then others, and make sure there are no major blocks between send/rcv. Experiment with orientations as well. And make sure theres not too much other 2-4 gHz stuff around.

I got one for an old iBook that needed bluetooth after I got a Belkin adapter that didn’t work well–no problem with with the D-Link.
