I want to develop a system for improvisation where I can monitory briefly what I am about to play but without the need for headphones (unless you can recommend headphones that let sound in freely). So I was thinking about using one of those single-ear headsets.

Has anyone tried this? Ideally I'd like a device that takes the output from my soundcard but they all seem to be bluetooth and hence the routing from max will have to be done in software. Does it simply show up as an audio device in max?
