I don't know about the irst two as I have not worked with prototypes. However the third is definitely possible. My top level main patcher contains mostly bpatchers that contain patchers in presentation mode. Many of the have their own bpatchers so that GUI elements can be really nested. Parameters are passed in to the bpatchers and so used as part of the instantiation of the underlying patchers.

bpatchers can be used in the "UI abstraction" manner via prototpye function.

but i dont even think it is required to use prototypes, i do that in max4

you can use scripting to create these bpatchers. those scripts could be inside

a little regular abstraction, which you control with a menu. you prefer keyboard

commands or speech control? just program it.

and there is 2.) the - a little bit more unconvenient - copy and paste from another

"GUI abstraction collection" patcher method.

both work fine in practice, you could say it is the way i am using max atm.

but i dont even think it is required to use prototypes, i do that in max4
( no prototype function), too.
