I am having problems with breakpoints between bpatchers: They break fine, but the patchcord doesn't highlight (blink), wich is somewhat anoying. Problem is the same with bpatcher content embedded in parrent or from abstraction.

Without seeing your patchers, I for one, have no idea what you're talking about.

Perhaps I should have been more descriptive.

The patch below contains one bpatcher that sends a bang and one that receives it.

If you add breakpoints to all the four visible patchcords in the parrent patcher, the following happens when debugging (on my MAX 5.1.4 install anyway):

1. The patchcord to the button in the parrent patcher that is connected to the sending bpatcher blinks and is highlighted in red when the breakpoint is reached. The same happens for the patchcord between the two buttons connected in the parrent patcher. This is off course the desired behaviour.

2. However, both patchcord connecting a button (in either the parrent patcher or from inside a bpatcher) to the button in the receiving bpatcher do not exhibit this behavior: The debugger breaks, but it cannot resolve the breakpoint number and the patchcords do not highlight.

Am I missing something? Or is this a known bug or limitations of bpatchers?

Yes, there does seem to be a difference between using bpatchers and subpatchers in this case.

Good idea to write the description in the patch and store the breakpoints, will remember that for another time :-)

I wouldn't. I would submit it to the powers that be.
