currently in research mode of my first attempt at physical modeling. have been digesting different methods before writing my own from the ground up. unfortunately it seems the highly recommended dave bessell patches are no longer online. is there a different link or a copy/paste code for these? (particularly modsynv2 or pizz, i’m focused on piano/guitar/string synthesis for now) https://sites.google.com/site/davebessellmusic/software-maxmsp

Hmm, that’s strange; maybe Dave will drop by and solve this for you. In the meantime search here for “Percolate” – the google link is likewise broken :(

I done a string model; but familiarity with your name and experience (through this forum) would suggest that it might not be up to what you need – it’d kind of a one-trick-pony. I’ll attach Dave’s MetalWood synth below FWIW:

Best
Brendan

n00b_meister, you’ve definitely been paying attention. just went through all 3 bessell patches and metalwood is the one i got the most ideas from. modsynv2 is interesting but with similar methods (with addition to comb~) and pizz is too precisely designed to be adaptable. now i’ve finally have my head around the concepts it’s time to get to work on my own. avoiding externals will be tough on the cpu but i know it will be capable of exactly what i want.
